A list of games I finished in 2025 along with their rating and review

Review: I had a lot of fun with this game. It was a combination of all 3 Pikmin games put into one package, bringing multiple mechanics, monsters, and all the Pikmin into one new game. Plus they added new creatures and Pikmin as well. I like having your own custom character and I enjoyed Olimar’s side story at the end. I completed all the main tasks and reached the credits, only skipping out on doing Louie’s tasks.

Review: The game has nice art and music, but I grew tired of the gameplay after about 10 hours or so. It was a much longer game than I was expecting and the story felt like an afterthought. I wasn’t doing much by the very end, instead just waiting for the time to pass. It was hard for me to know when the game was actually over as there isn’t really much of a proper ending (no real credit sequence to speak of). The story as a whole was kind of odd and doesn’t really go anywhere in the end.

Review: This was a short game. I was able to finish it within 2 days, completing all the main and side objectives. The story was lovely and the gameplay itself is pretty easy too, as you are mainly just taking pictures of birds and animals, while walking around the island talking to different people. It was a relaxing and fun time with not a whole lot of stress.

Review: This was a great conclusion to the previous game (Trails in the Sky FC). It took a while to get through and I took a few breaks while playing, but I managed to finally complete it. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the worldbuilding and lore, plus the character interactions were a highlight of this game. I loved how this game pays attention to its details from what party members you have, to whether you talked to them before, and even taking into account things you did in the previous game. Overall this is a great JRPG series.

Review: I started this game all the way back in 2021 before I stopped playing it. But thanks to a vtuber named Hakos Baelz (who played a little bit of the game herself on stream), I picked up the game again and finally completed it after a month of grinding away at it. I got every ending, nearly getting 100% of the game. The story is very good and the gameplay was fun, but trying to get everything and get to every ending was a grind and took up more time than I expected. One of the endings: Ending E, was especially a trip for me to experience too..

Review: I picked this game up on a sale and it was a very good purchase. It was not too short and not too long either. I really loved the story and each spirit’s journey to the everdoor. Some stories I did like more than others but I think that’s the point. I do like how each one was unique, and it gave me different kinds of emotions. I also liked the gameplay of managing your own ship and the platforming too.

Review: Took a while to finish it due to other obligations but I enjoyed it overall. Not as riveting as the first two games but it had some interesting story and lore bits sprinkled here and there. Happy to have a final conclusion to the Liberl Arc and it makes me wonder where the next games will take me.

Review: This was a nice and cute shorter game to play. Even after I finished the main story I still kept on wanting to play, upgrade my character and help improve and make the community a better place. Generally it's a cute and sweet game, I liked the characters too.

Review: A pretty standard JRPG. I liked working with the Djinn and using psyenergy to explore the world. Didn’t get too involved in the story and mostly used a guide to ensure I didn’t miss any Djinn. I’m hoping the sequel helps to pick things up since this first game felt to me like a lot of set up for the future.

Review: A short puzzle game, I was able to complete it in the span of an afternoon, getting all the scrolls and collectibles. The puzzles were overall pretty easy though some puzzles did stump me and made me spend some time on them, but they were generally a fun time. I liked the creativity each of the door’s dioramas offered and they were pretty imaginative with its designs.

Review:Another short puzzle game made by the same people who made Doors - Paradox. The puzzles were alright and some were enjoyable, but others were difficult and a number of times I ended up brute-forcing them. I also wasn’t too big on the story. I didn’t feel there was much going for it there. Personally I preferred their first game over this one, but I had a decent time at least.

Review:A prequel of sorts of To the Moon, it felt different compared to the other two games but it also felt the same as well. It was an emotional and touching story, and made me question throughout the entire playthrough of what was real and what was fake until the very end. There’s lots of fun little gags and side bits too to help with the serious tone of the story. Also Long Cat and Ricebot are the best characters.

Review: I once played this on the Wii U back when it first released, and then later on got the Switch Version. I managed to complete the game in almost one sitting. It’s generally a fun game but those final levels got really difficult especially when I was trying to get all of the green stars. However, I love the look of 3D World as a whole, and also enjoyed the powerups given to you.

Review: Generally I liked the game, and I got addicted to it a lot. There was always something to do to make my museum better, and I liked the exhibits you can find and add. I’m not too great with making my museum look decorative while also making sure the stats for everything maxed out. The end however became a grind. While there is still more to do (each museum has additional stars to get besides the 5 stars), I consider the finish of this game by completing each museum’s main storyline (once it said “Epilogue I knew it was over story wise).

Review: This is a special case as the full entire game isn't complete yet. Plus, I already played chapters 1 and 2 in the past. However, with these new chapters coming out recently, it was worth playing and putting them in their own spotlight. The game was a fun time with a lot of laughs and challenging, but fun gameplay. There’s plenty of great fights and bosses too. It makes me excited to see what chapter 5 has to offer.

Review: (Note this was originally written when I completed the game back in June before Silksong’s release). I’m considering this game finished because I did reach the credits and got to the ending. However I only got the normal ending and not the best ending, which requires a lot more steps involved. Despite that, overall I had a great time playing this game. I loved the gameplay and platforming, and while the game was challenging it wasn’t impossible to beat and didn’t feel very frustrating at all. It makes me excited for the upcoming Silksong game (Update Sept 3rd: I got the true ending of this game after about 34 hours, it was very challenging but rewarding).

Review: After playing on and off for over a month I was able to 100% the game. This game is already something I love because Raden is in it, plus it has some fun art history which I also enjoy. The puzzles themselves had a fun range of easy for beginners up to very challenging, which I was able to complete after a long time training with the other puzzles. Eventually things did feel a bit grindy with completing everything but overall I had a fun time.

Review: It was generally an OK game. The frogs looked cute and I liked taking pictures and placing the furniture, but the controls felt sluggish and slow. Plus the gameplay loop itself was very repetitive and the story was on the shallow and simple side (it was also repetitive too).

Review: By the end. I really enjoyed the whole game and story. It was slow at the start (as these games usually are) but it slowly picked up steam, and by the end I couldn’t stop playing. There’s great characters and I loved the new area and setting. Also it was really nice to get a conclusion to the previous Trails games storyline and have a lot of questions answered.

Review: This started out as something to play casually in the evening. But eventually I managed to complete and play every level available in this GB Game (not counting the time trials). The puzzles were pretty fun, but after some time it became pretty predictable and repetitive, and a few times I had to rewind due to misinputs on my Switch (played with Nintendo Switch Online). Overall it was a fine time and a good way to pass the time.

Review: This game was tough, challenging, and brutal. It was filled with so many tough enemies and bosses, and a lot of frustrating moments where I wanted to give up. But at the same time, it was filled with a haunting and beautiful world. Where for every wave of enemies and challenges, there was an npc, ally, or friend to help (and help us) along the way. And for those who overcame a challenge, there was usually a reward to give. Overall I am glad I played and beat Silksong, and didn’t give up when I easily could.

Review: As someone familiar with Uchikoshi’s works I had expectations of what kind of game I was gonna get going in. And in the end, I wasn’t disappointed. With the sci-fi explanations and flow chart, it had his work all over it. But the story itself was very compelling. The game is mostly a visual novel with some light gameplay. It kept me engaged from start to finish, and kept me wondering about where the story will go next. I really liked the conclusion and finale in the very end and I liked how everything came together. My only real nitpicks were just walking around the Somnium and how sometimes I just had to trial and error my way through the puzzles. Overall, it was a great time, and it was nice being able to play a shorter game.

Review: A note that I played this on the Switch 1 so the technical things I experienced were due to that. However, it didn’t totally detract my enjoyment of the game (other than when during heavy cutscenes the framerate would drop for a second). Overall I did like the game. It’s not perfect though. I do like a lot of the characters (besides the rival), and I love all of the references with X/Y. But eventually the gameplay loop itself got very repetitive, which is normal for a pokemon game. However when the scenery keeps being the same for the entire thing, it can get old after a long time. This is in comparison to other Pokemon games where your battle area and scenery change as the game progresses. Still though, I had fun and I liked making most of my old Pokemon X team from the past.

Review: I played this as part of my retro gaming challenge for November. While I did not 100% this game, I did play through all the parts and reached the credits, concluding the story and seeing the game to the end. It was a cute and fun time. The levels were pretty straightforward with a bit of exploration to find a few secrets. The controls sometimes felt a bit slippery to me but I was able to live through it. On the last level however I did utilize the save state that the Switch Online has to help me get through the last level a bit easier (mainly because I kept falling into the void). Overall I enjoyed myself playing this game.

Review: I have been wanting to finish this game since I first tried it out years ago and now I finally have (thanks to vtuber Ookami Mio for finsihing the game and inspiring me to pick it up). Admittedly I used a guide to help me along, but mainly to make sure I didn't get lost. I could tell this game would be large (For an NES game) and I would easily get lost and confused. Still though, I generally had a good time. One thing I liked about the game was the story as a whole. I also liked meeting all the quirky and interesting characters that you come across in the game. The gameplay itself was pretty simple but it did get very repetitive. To make sure I didn’t die in one hit, I had to grind a lot to get my party members up to the right level. This took a lot of time to do and depending on where I was, it became tedious. Despite this I generally had a good time. The best part of the game to me however, would be the music. All of it was very memorable and enjoyable to listen to.
