Here is the general information for how my retro gaming challenge works. This includes the basic rules and guidelines I'll follow:
What's the Retro Gaming challenge?
This is a self imposed challenge I put on myself during the month of November where I'll attempt to try out a different retro game every day. The goal isn't to finish the game but to play and try it out to the best of my abilities. I generally go for at least one hour to get a first impression and general feel for the retro game.
Rules and Guidelines:
Games played need to be at least 20 years old from the current date of its original release.
Ideally games will be played in an official capacity to the best of my abilities (official ports and re-releases are allowed).
Mods may only be allow to help play the game closer to their original settings or at least to make certain aspects easier to handle.
Remasters will be decided on a case by case basis. As long as the game can be played as close to how it was originally it's allowed.
Remakes are not allowed (especially if there's a major change in art style, graphics, and gameplay).
Things may be subject to change. This is my own challenge after all.
